
Our badges and lanyards
Here is a selection of badges that can be gained from the cadets and are worn on our uniforms, but also, are there to teach cadets skills that they can use in there life, take a look!

Classification badges
The classification badges are a set of four bages that you wear according to the level that you have got to, first class (dimond shaped0 is the training compleation badge, then it goes to leading, senior and then finally master cadet badge.

Band badge
The band badge is a badge that you gain from being in a band and ether following the bands decision or having grade 5 on your instrament, the badges are not always the same as the corrispond to the instrament that is played for instance precussion badge (one above) is for drummers and so on.

DofE Badge
The DofE or Duke of Edinburgh award scheme badge is gained from completing a expedition, skills, volunteering and physical sections for a period of time with write ups and other evidence of you completing these sections.

Communication badge
The communication badge is the badge you gain from doing a radio and communication course that is normally a weekend long, this will allow you to communicate using the ATC's radio communication on cadet camps or even on the squadron.

First aid badge
The first aid badge is a badge you gain from compleating a course that is normally about a weekend long, this will teach you how to do the very basic of first aid to saving a life and has let cadets save lives in multiple cases, this also means you are a first aider in the eyes of the cadets.


Flying badge
The flying and gliding badges are a set of badges that you get when you compleat a week long camp where you fly or glide in aircraft such as the tutor grob, this badge also allows you to fly these aircraft in solo flights or in simple terms a licence to fly.

Nijmegen badge
The nijmegen badge is a badge you gain from doing a 100 mile march in the neatherlands, with this bdge you also gain a medal which is one of two medals you can collect from doing this long and increadible journey.

Marksman badge
The marksman badge is a set of four badges you can gain from shooting with the range of rifles that we use (such as the NO.8 .22 rifle) to gain the badge you must get a small grouping of bullet holes that fit under a template for instance like a common coin and so on.



Lanyards
The cadet lanyards are a set of three lanyards that you gain from compleating there courses, the yellow lanyard is the the Method of instrucion or staff cadet course that is a weekend long course, the brown lanyard is the junior leaders course that is a week long combat training, camping and survival training and last is the Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course or QAIC course which is the blue lanyard which is a very large course that consists of learning a lot of things about aircraft, simulators and lots more.
